A home for two plus a dog. The house itself is comprised of three shells of progressive size nested inside one another. The outermost shell covers the entire premises, creating a covered, semi-indoor garden. Second shell encloses a limited space inside the covered outdoor space. Third shell creates a smaller interior space. Residents build their life inside this gradation of domain.

I have always had doubts about streets and houses being separated by a single wall, and wondered that a gradation of rich domain accompanied by various senses of distance between streets and houses might be a possibility, such as: a place inside the house that is fairly near the street; a place that is a bit far from the street, and a place far off the street, in secure privacy.

That is why life in this house resembles to living among the clouds. A distinct boundary is nowhere to be found, except for a gradual change in the domain. One might say that an ideal architecture is an outdoor space that feels like the indoors and an indoor space that feels like the outdoors. In a nested structure, the inside is invariably the outside, and vice versa. My intention was to make an architecture that is not about space nor about form, but simply about expressing the riches of what are `between` houses and streets.

Three nested shells eventually mean infinite nesting because the whole world is made up of infinite nesting. And here are only three of them that are given barely visible shape. I imagined that the city and the house are no different from one another in the essence, but are just different approaches to a continuum of a single subject, or different expressions of the same thing- an undulation of a primordial space where humans dwell. This is a presentation of an ultimate house in which everything from the origins of the world to a specific house is conceived together under a single method.

After watching almost all TED talks on environment, I just want to remind and encourage you guys to reduce your plastic consumption. Don't buy bottled water, drink from the tap water instead. These plastic bottles are polluting the ocean and these will cause long term effects that affect us eventually.

Anyway, this month's reader's digest also said that some sources of water aren't truly healthy and may contain chemicals harmful to your health.

Statement:
I would investigate how the number of vulgarities coming out of Si Wei's mouth is dependent on the Person the vulgarities are targeted at while keeping other factors constant.

Hypothesis:
Let No of Vulgarities per min be dV/dt.

dV/dt is directly proportional to P

If hypothesis is correct, the graph would be a straight line.

Some one he would wanna scold a lot. For convenience sake, lets just randomly pick someone from the class. I wrote pieces of paper with names and put them in front of me. I randomly pick one, and.... it turned out to be elaine!

Procedure:
Keeping other factors constant:
Ensure Si Wei is in the same mood whenever experiment is conducted. Conduct experiment every GP lesson, cos he is always restless and bored then.
Ensure no one that Siwei fears in nearby, which might limit his vulgar outputs. Ensure vicinity is empty save 08s43.
Location is kind of considered constant as Siwei scolds vulgarities everywhere.
Knowledge of vulgarities are extensive. However, the vocab does not really grow much though it really has a lot of content. Hence, it can be considered constant too.

1) Put his girlfriend in front of him.
2) Wait for SiWei to talk.
3) Girlfriend kicks his leg
4) Record the length and depth of the things he say.
5) Repeat steps 1 to 4 the next day.
6) Repeat steps 1 to 5 for other people.

Results

Safety
The group of people should wear safety helmets in case Frankie takes over SiWei and gets violent.
The people should make sure TYH is not present as it might get Siwei, the most crucial apparatus to get into trouble.

Reliability
Use data logger with vulgarity sensor to get more accurate readings of dV/dt
Conduct experiment in a TYH free environment to reduce possibilities of disturbance.
Conduct experiment repeatedly to get consistent responses.
Wait for mood to stabilise before prompting any response.

Cupcake recipe!

here it is nonetheless,

Makes 2 dozen

2 1/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (not Dutch-processed)
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (from about 20 squares)
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
9 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
Marshmallow Frosting

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 standard muffin tins with cupcake liners; set aside.
Sift 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together into the bowl of an electric mixer. Using the paddle attachment, mix ingredients together on low speed.
In a large bowl, mix together eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Add to flour mixture and beat on medium speed for 30 seconds. Scrape down sides of bowl and continue mixing on medium speed for 2 minutes. Add boiling water and stir to combine; set cake batter aside.
Place graham cracker crumbs, remaining 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter in a large bowl; stir until well combined.
Place 1 tablespoon graham cracker mixture into the bottom of each prepared muffin cup. Use the bottom of a small glass to pack crumbs into the bottom of each cupcake liner. Reserve remaining graham cracker mixture for topping.
Place 2 teaspoons chocolate in each muffin cup. Transfer muffin tins to oven and bake until the edges of the graham cracker mixture is golden, about 5 minutes. Remove from oven and fill each muffin cup three-quarters full with cake batter. Sprinkle each with remaining chocolate and graham cracker mixture. Return to oven and bake, rotating pans halfway through baking, until tops are firm and a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean, 18 to 20 minutes. Transfer muffin tins to a wire rack and let cupcakes cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove cupcakes from pan and let cool completely.
Transfer frosting to a large pastry bag fitted with a large plain round or French tip (such as Ateco #867 or Ateco #809). Pipe frosting in a spiral motion on each cupcake. Transfer cupcakes to a baking sheet. Using a kitchen torch, lightly brown the frosting, taking care not to burn the cupcake liners. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container, up to 2 days.

Mr. Robert Aldridge, the Head of International Recruitment at the University of Reading, will be giving a talk to VJC students on the topic "How to choose the right course at the right university" on March 18, 2009, at 10 a.m. The venue will be announced at a later date. Parents are invited to attend as well.

Here is a summary of the talk:
"League tables, personal recommendation, recruitment and marketing tactics, independent guides and pure random chance are often used by students when choosing where to study. For most applicants it will be the first time they have selected a university and the range and array can be startling. This is a super awesome movie.

I have tried downloading it 6 times already. And its in 7 parts parts. So I've clicked the 'download' button 42 times. After 5 tries, my real player couldn't play it. After a while it could, but there was no sound. Then I had to download 3 types of media players to get it to play. And just now, the movie terminated abruptly while I was watching it.

So I don't really know if it's a super awesome movie. But it seems like it.

I'm so Angry. But it always makes me happy to ponder on how the woman's twirly hair looks like butt cheeks. One day when I have long hair...

The attractive thingy about this trip is that it is not only impressive on your portfolio & gives shitloads of CIP hours, there are no annoying interviews & stupid forms to fill up.

Wow i had to be an asshole to include every shake word..if u really read it all, i think Elaine might do just that, you most probably won't understand the meaning of 'shake' alr. Studies have shown that the longer humans stare at a very common word (for example: orange) the more confusing it seems and the meaning of the word is lost somewhere somehow. This proves to show that we should all just talk, rap and sing (and scold vulgarities) instead of write...now tell that to the econs and gp exam board aye? Trip to Punggol Beach

Hi guys! Now that promos are finally over, we can PARTY!

Haha just kidding... ok I mentioned last time to a few people that Punggol Beach (which is at the end of Punggol) is a really nice place to go and see the scenery.

Then elaine was interested and so she ask me to ask the class who's interested. Probably those staying ard north east area might want to go there someday, just to catch sunset, talk, take some pictures. I frequently go there for photography...
